The nitrogen content of slurries and farm yard manure can be revealed by doing a nitrogen test which takes usually 3-6 minutes depending on the manure!

This is carried out on the farm when the slurry has been well mixed and prior to slurry application.
Knowing the value of the slurry, accurate nitrogen applications can be achieved which is especially important in cereal crops.
